About the Indian Lake Loop
Twenty years of community, competition, and Thanksgiving tradition in Hendersonville, TN.
Our Story
The Indian Lake Loop began in 2007 as a small neighborhood run through the scenic streets of Indian Lake in Hendersonville, Tennessee. What started as a modest gathering of local runners on Thanksgiving Morning has grown into one of Middle Tennessee's most beloved holiday road races.
Over two decades, the race has welcomed thousands of participants — from competitive runners chasing personal records to families lacing up for their very first 5K together. The course winds through the picturesque Indian Lake community, offering stunning views of the lake and a festive atmosphere that captures the spirit of the season.
The 2026 edition marks our 20th anniversary — a milestone that reflects the dedication of our volunteers, sponsors, participants, and the entire Hendersonville community who have made this event a Thanksgiving tradition.

Community Impact
The Indian Lake Loop is more than a race — it's a community event that gives back.
The Indian Lake Loop partners with local businesses and organizations to make race day a true community celebration. Holiday~Fest, our signature partner event, transforms the finish area into a festive gathering space where families can enjoy the holiday spirit together.
Proceeds from the race support local charities and community initiatives in the Hendersonville area. We are proud to give back to the community that has supported us for twenty years.
